DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is a by-product of the wood pulp Industry.

In his famous Herbal Lecture Series (10 cassette tapes), Dr. John Christopher enthusiastically mentions the ability of DMSO to penetrate deeply into the tissue and relieve pain. He tells a story on how people around the wood pulp industry noticed that their arthritis went away. The connection was made, and word spread.

It is known that DMSO, when applied to the skin along with whatever elements are integrated with it, carries those nutrients deep into the cells of the body. It can also cause a strong garlic-like odor.

DMSO products have sold steadily for a lot of years.  Many testimonials have been generated. Reports of DMSO being used globally as a unique agent in the treatment of many painful and inflammatory conditions are widespread.

What is MSM?

 
C2H6O2S - MSM (aka DMSO2)

MSM stands for Methylsulfonylmethane. Also known as dimethylsulfone - DMSO2, MSM is chemically similar to DMSO.

It is available in a powdered form, which is consumed. MSM is tasteless and odorless.  

Actor James Colburn was absent from his career for thirty years due to terrible arthritis. He has returned to acting, a recovery he attributes to MSM.

Better known are related sulfur (sulphur) compounds, glucosamine sulfate and chondroitan sulfate, that help with restoration of cartilage. These are much more expensive than MSM.
