First
stage, water flows through a 20" sediment filter
cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt.
Also extends the life of the water filter and prevents
damage.
In stages 2 and 4, water flows through 2 beds of
Eagle Redox Alloy®
(Oxidation/reduction process) media (#6500 and
#9500) made of a
special high-purity alloy blend of two dissimilar metals
- copper and zinc.
It is a
relatively new and unique water processing medium, a major advancement in water treatment technology
that works on the natural electro-chemical and
spontaneous-oxidation-reduction principles. This plus
its adsorption action reduces and/or removes many
contaminants from water.
Chlorine is instantaneously and almost inexhaustibly
oxidized.
Iron and hydrogen sulfide are oxidized into insoluble
matter and attach to the surface of the media. Heavy metals such
as lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium,
cadmium, aluminum, and
other
dissolved metals are removed from the water by this
natural electrochemical process. They are attracted to
the surface of the media, much like a magnet. The media
also inhibits bacterial growth throughout the entire
unit.
In stage
3,
water
flows through the ion exchange resin, reducing heavy
metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and water
hardness.

In stage 5,
water
passes through granulated
activated carbon (GAC). GAC is universally recognized
and widely used as an effective adsorbent for a wide
variety of organic contaminants, such as
chlorine
(99.9%), chemicals linked to cancer (THM's, benzene),
pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic
compounds (VOC's), PCB's, MTBE's and hundreds of other
chemical contaminants that may be present in water, bad
taste, and odors from your drinking water.

In stage 6 and 7, water
travels through special blend of natural mineral
carbonate media which will
remineralize and
alkalize/ionize the water and raise the pH level of
your water. It reduces acidity in the body and will
produce natural calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium
ions that can be absorbed 100% in the human body. These

Fluoride
(F+) is a common constituent of
many mineral compounds. Municipal water treatment
plants commonly add fluoride to the water,
supposedly for prevention of tooth decay,
and they try to maintain a level of .8 -
2.5 mg/l. Concentrations above 5 mg/l are
detrimental to tooth structure, but
fluoride is toxic to the body even in the
amounts normally added.
High
concentrations of fluoride are contained
in waste water from the manufacture of
glass and steel, as well as from foundry
operations. Inorganic fluorine, under the
name of sodium fluoride, is a waste
product of aluminum and is used in some
rat poisons. The MCL established for
drinking water by the US EPA is 4 mg/l.
Organic fluorine is present in some
vegetables, fruits, and nuts.

Our Fluoride Removal Whole
House Water Filters utilize a high
capacity Eagle Activated Charcoal Fluoride
Removal Media. Calcium GAC is a unique
carbonaceous adsorbent manufactured from
the treatment and carbonization of
selected grades of animal bone and is used
for liquid phase filtration to remove
organic and inorganic species such as
color bodies and many heavy metals.
Bone char is different from
activated carbon in that it contains both
carbon surface area and hydroxyapatite
lattice surface area and is produced from
aged bone for better efficiency. This
media has good absorption of various heavy
metals and maintains alkalinity in
adsorbate. It is physically stable and can
be used over a wide pH range with the
filtered pH generally being increased. The
resulting pH will vary based on existing
water conditions.

are simple, user friendly, easy to program,
dependable, fully shipped with filtration media
already in the tank. The system connects to the
main line of your home and filters all the
incoming water to it. It requires a nearby power
outlet and drain source (usually the washing
machine drain). WE DO NOT
ship filtration media separately for our
customers to pour in. We
ship complete and ready to be plumbed in.
With the single "standalone" tank whole house
fluoride units:

First,
water travels through a 20" sediment
cartridge that removes sediment, silt,
sand and dirt. Also this extends the
life of the filters, and prevents damage
to the control valves or pumps.

Next, water travels through a 1.5
or 2.0 cubic foot media tank with an
Automatic
Microprocessor Control valve.
(The longer amount of time that
the water is in contact with the media,
the more effective is the conditioning
and filtering of the water.)

Finally, water travels through
a 20" solid carbon cartridge for
a final conditioning of the water and
removing any remaining
volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's,
insecticides, pesticides and industrial
solvents) that
may
be in the water.
The two tank whole house fluoride systems
are among the most advanced and effective fluoride water filters in
the market
as
the water
travels through 6 stages of filtration:

First stage, water
flows through a 20"
sediment filter cartridge
that removes sediment,
silt, sand and dirt. Also
extends the life of water
softeners and water
filters and prevents
damage to control valves
or pumps.

Second stage, water
flows through a fluoride
reducing media tank containing
Eagle Activated Charcoal
Fluoride Removal Media, an adsorbant media
that effectively removes
Fluoride, Lead and
Arsenic.
